Well of course Kayla’s #1 hero is daddy, but coming in second is Captain America (which daddy is totally ecstatic about). The two of them share a love of the Marvel characters which is both amazing and comical. They spend every weekend playing with all the action figures, Xbox games, ipad games, and watching all the cartoons. Kayla was completely devastated when we told her she could not go to the new Captain America movie with daddy, but I think the surprise of meeting him today more than made up for the disappointing “NO” I gave to the movie. I mean look at that grin from ear to ear…

Oh YEA! I am going tonight for date night to see the final Harry Potter. Such a bittersweet moment, I can not believe its going to be over.  I remember watching at least one of the first three every night while I was pregnant. The discs are totally worn, but I’m waiting for the big collector box that will inevitably be coming out probably by Christmas.  So who else is going tonight? Are you going to miss it as much as me?

As most of you know I’m a TOTAL fan of Jordi Labanda‘s artwork, I have quite the collection of his notebooks already. I have recently come across the dilemma that Target has decided to stop carrying them… Grrr!  I turned to ebay to try and continue to feed my fix for the medium sized notebooks which have become a perfect fit for my journal/day planner.  For a small fortune I would have been able to do so, but luckily I stumbled across MiquelRius.com.  They have a ton of notebooks and bags by Jordi Labanda at the same price I would pay at Target. YAY!  Plus those cute little purse sized notebooks on the bottom they gave me for free. SWEET!

I know I have been M.I.A. for quite a bit now, I apologize. It has been craziness around here. We recently had family come to visit which was so great, we don’t get to see them very often. I decided to paint the outside of the house which is half done, since it won’t stop raining around here, I started a new job which I get to do from home ~ TOTALLY AWESOME, and Kayla is home for the summer (no summer program this year). I am still trying to organize everything so that I can get a nice rhythm going here but I blinked and June disappeared, and we are into July already. Who pressed the fast forward button?? Can somebody please press pause, I can’t keep up!
I will be trying to post a little more here and there, and I appreciate your patience and your loyalty. Hope you guys are having a great summer, (don’t blink, trust me!)

I am so excited for this movie of course, being that I came from the generation that grew up watching them. I love that they are bringing back all the shows I grew up with, and in most cases making it better, now my daughter and I can share the experience together.

This past weekend my friend and I decided to make a stop at our local Big Lots to see what was new.  I found this awesome, Wilson & Fisher® Bright Color Quad Armchair in PURPLE for only $12.00.  These types of chairs are so convenient for activities with the family such as fishing, and 4th of July fireworks.

I of course pulled it out of the package and gave it a nice test sitting, as I am not particularly familiar with the brand.  It did feel very comfortable and sturdy, it was very easy to set up, plus its PURPLE!
